Sabo Yamashita is a cafe in the renovated shed of a shipping agent.
Tables are made from washtub-boats, which were used locally!
Matcha green tea is served with a Japanese sweet, and a variety of Western-style desserts are also available.
Sabo Yamashita, an old Japanese house cafe, offers specialty pasta dishes and desserts. All pasta is scruplously chosen to best suit each topping and sauce, and Sado's locally sourced seafood is turned into stylish Italian dishes. Simply sweet zenzai (sweet red bean soup with mochi rice cake) is perfect for tea time during a stroll in Shukunegi. Works by Chingyo Izumi, a minstrel and painter, are displayed on the walls.
