Takoboushi
Takoboushi is located by the Shokoji River, flowing through the Shukunegi village.
Takoboushi enjoys a crowd of regular visitors in the evening.
Beyond the noren [entrance curtains] await counter seats and a section floored with tatami mats. Takoboushi is a Japanese-style pub, which treats you to seasonal home cooking. Popular dishes include items distinctive to Sado, such as tempura of squid that is dried over-night, and deep-fried breaded oysters sourced from Lake Kamo, in the northeast of Sado. Curry with turban shells and baked turban-shell curry topped with cheese are classic menu items at Takoboushi. Takoboushi’s hostess, a good cook dedicated to Sado, is waiting for you.
