Sankakuya is a house built in a triangular shape to fit the shape of the narrow alleyway. It is also called the ship-shaped house because of its appearance. This house is an example of the skills and techniques of shipbuilders to make the most of the land, and has become one of the symbols of Shukunegi. This building was in use until 2006.
